General Motors (GM) has expanded its energy storage offerings with the launch of the GM Energy PowerBank, a modular stationary storage system designed for residential applications. The PowerBank is designed to provide homeowners with greater energy independence and flexibility, allowing them to store and use energy more efficiently.

The PowerBank is available in two capacities: 10.6 kWh and 17.7 kWh. It can be scaled up to 35.4 kWh by combining multiple units, providing enough energy to power an average U.S. home for up to 20 hours. The system can be integrated with solar power systems, allowing homeowners to store excess energy generated during the day for use at night or during peak demand periods.
